Hawzah News Agency- In a statement, the Yemeni Foreign Ministry announced that reports regarding secret meetings between Saudi representatives and Israeli officials in a neighboring country have raised concerns about Riyadh's policy regarding Islamic holy sites.
The ministry asserted that Saudi Arabia which controls Mecca and Medina possesses neither the merit nor the trustworthiness required to manage the Two Holy Mosques, describing the kingdom as the "greatest threat" to Islamic holy sites.
The statement also characterized Saudi Arabia's commercialization of holy sites and their transformation into investment projects as an "affront to Islamic sanctities." These remarks come amidst escalating verbal tensions in recent days between Yemeni political factions and Saudi Arabia regarding the Two Holy Mosques.
